Friday, 10am: MORRIS Walk and Lyndhurst Avenue in Skegness have been tidied up thanks to the New Day Christian Centre in Lincoln Road, Skegness.
Around 40 volunteers from the church spent the day painting elderly people's fences as part of their summer social action project, Operation Transform.

The group also removed graffiti and cut back overgrown shrubs.

Alan Bailey, event co-ordinator, said: "It is all a continuation of our ENGAGE projects for this year.

"We had so much feedback over the last few months from local residents about the Morris Walk area that we felt as a church we just had to do something.

"Thankfully the weather held out and the whole day was a huge success."

Coun Mark Anderson said: "What the New Day Christian Centre has done here is great and has made an unbelievable impact on the area, especially on Morris Walk.

"I'd like to thank them for what they did and congratulate everyone involved."

The church would like to thank P&R Decorators, Amazing Tiles, Jewson, MKM Building Merchant, Focus Do it All and Wacky Sports for their support.
