EDITOR - I think your article about John Oster (Skegness Standard, July 30) gives the wrong impression of his professional football career.

He has always been in the first team squads at the clubs he has played for.

At Everton, in particular, he was very well thought of by the fans.

He has played international football for Wales.
The lad deserves some public recognition for what he has achieved in the game.

How many players born and bred in Skegness have played in the Premiership? Give him some praise.
