Plenty to see and do at Thimbleby heritage afternoon
A free event this Sunday, March 19, will give people the opportunity to see plans for the new church spire, as well as celebrate all the history of the village.
Thimbleby boasts a number of thatched mud and stud cottages, which are of particular interest as they are of identical design to 17th century cottages in Jamestown, Virginia, suggesting a builder from this area must have travelled with the original settlers.
